and the living’s easy.
Food in Philly was on point, but much to the disappointment of Everyone (!) I didn’t eat a Philly Cheesesteak.
I did eat a great pork sandwich at Dinic’s in Reading Terminal Market and a elegant (and supremely buttery) roast chicken at my hotel. Truthfully (sadly) there wasn’t much time to seek out great eats. I always leave a reason to return…(food, mostly to eat more food).
Blue Star donuts: forget Voodoo Doughnuts and their longline, Blue Star is where it’s at!
Sour beers: so much fun to drink with friends. We’ve spent the last two weekends sampling sour beers, a new world to me! Cascade was a nice stop in Portland.
The Portland vibe: it was low-key, relaxed and interesting with exceptionally nice people!
Mendoza: huge wine pours, blue skies and warm weather, great food…swoon!
Best coffee on the whole trip. The coffee situation was lacking hard elsewhere.
Water is SO brown from deforestation. 40 years ago it was clear blue.
A coati! Terrozing tourists by stealing their food…
