It has been raining here for the last three days. I have actually been liking it since it’s aiding my laziness but I think I’m getting ready for some sunshine! It rained pretty much all weekend which forced me to stay inside, it didn’t force me to stay in bed although I did! I guess I did leave the house once, for food of course! It was nice to be lazy and have a day where you don’t have to shower, clean or look presentable. I spent most of the day reading my book which I am almost finished with. That being said, I thought I would share with you what I have been doing in my free time these last few months.
The book I’m reading is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larrson. I had seen a lot about this book and saw it at a bookstore in Daegu so I picked it up. I am a notoriously slow reader so I am proud that I have actually picked up a book and have gotten through most of it. Not the best book I have read, but not bad. I think it has put me back on the reading wagon though so that is good.
As always, I am trying to find new music to listen to. I have been into soft, bedroom rock/pop music lately (I guess that is what you would call it….) a bit melodramatic…… I have been listening to The XX and Beach House and just purchased the Broken Bells album, it is a collaboration of Danger Mouse from Outcast and The lead singer from the Shins…not bad. I always find new music through one of my favorite podcasts, Sound Opinions (it’s awesome!). As far as podcasts go I have also been enjoying This American Life and the 60 Minutes podcast. Fresh Air on NPR is hit and miss for me; sometimes it can be so interesting and other times it’s just bleh…
As for TV, it is mostly downloaded/bought off the internet. We do not even have the TV plugged in. Kyle and I have been watching Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm and just started Arrested Development. I am excited for the new Entourage and I like Arrested Development but haven’t gotten into it in depth yet. Before we started Arrested Development we had a serious talk about which TV show we would do next…Lost was considered but it seemed like such a big commitment I just couldn’t do it (I’m not afraid of commitment but we’re talking 120 hours plus!!!).
All in all, life’s good!
